SECKO Co-Founders and Directors Brendan Clark and Brent Goreham have been working together for over two decades. They are experienced and professional industry leaders in the built environment.
Prior to their careers in the engineering industry, Brendan and Brent met in the Australian Defence force in 2002 when they were both posted to the First Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment. It didn’t take long for them to create a lifelong friendship, and they were soon both deployed to East Timor as part of Operation Citadel. Both Brendan and Brent reached the Non-Commissioned Officer rank of Corporal and have been awarded Active, Service, and Campaign medals for their time overseas in Timor Leste and The Solomon Islands.
Post military service Brendan and Brent continued to work together in a global consulting firm delivering hundreds of civil infrastructure projects in Australia, Singapore, and New Zealand. It was soon after that SECKO was founded over a cold beer and a decision to create an organisation that puts it people first and embodies the same underlying principles of teamwork, mateship, and camaraderie that they both learnt in the military.
Brendan is a Co-Founder and Director of SECKO as well a chartered Civil Engineer with 18 years’ experience in design and project leadership. Brendan has successfully delivered projects through all stages of design in Australia and Singapore, including early planning, business case, concept, preliminary and detailed design.
Brent Goreham is a Co-Founder and Director of SECKO. He is a professional and approachable leader who is easy to get along with. Brent is a technology and information management industry leader and understands the complexities of engineering projects and how technology can be utilised to enhance outcomes.
