SECKO Co-Founders and Directors Brendan Clark and Brent Goreham have been working together for over two decades. They are experienced and professional industry leaders in the built environment.  

Prior to their careers in the engineering industry, Brendan and Brent met in the Australian Defence force in 2002 when they were both posted to the First Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment. It didn’t take long for them to create a lifelong friendship, and they were soon both deployed to East Timor as part of Operation Citadel. Both Brendan and Brent reached the Non-Commissioned Officer rank of Corporal and have been awarded Active, Service, and Campaign medals for their time overseas in Timor Leste and The Solomon Islands. 

Post military service Brendan and Brent continued to work together in a global consulting firm delivering hundreds of civil infrastructure projects in Australia, Singapore, and New Zealand. It was soon after that SECKO was founded over a cold beer and a decision to create an organisation that puts it people first and embodies the same underlying principles of teamwork, mateship, and camaraderie that they both learnt in the military.
 

Brendan is a Co-Founder and Director of SECKO, as well as a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 18 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project leadership. He is a highly respected engineering professional known for his practical approach, technical expertise, and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in the successful delivery of complex projects. Brendan has delivered projects across Australia and Singapore through all stages of the project lifecycle, including planning, business case development, concept design, preliminary design, and detailed design. He is passionate about delivering innovative, sustainable, and client-focused solutions that create lasting value and support successful project outcomes.

Brent Goreham is a Co-Founder and Director of SECKO. He is a professional, approachable, and results-driven leader who is easy to work with and highly regarded by clients and industry peers. Brent is a technology and information management industry leader with extensive experience supporting engineering and infrastructure projects across Australia. He understands the complexities of project delivery and how technology, systems, and information can be leveraged to improve collaboration, efficiency, compliance, and project outcomes. Brent is passionate about helping organisations maximise the value of their digital investments and is committed to delivering practical, innovative solutions that drive long-term success for clients and project teams.

Aashel is a Principal Civil Designer at SECKO. He is a highly skilled and collaborative infrastructure professional with extensive experience delivering transport and civil projects across New South Wales, Queensland, and the Australian Capital Territory. Aashel combines strong technical expertise with practical construction knowledge to develop safe, efficient, and buildable design solutions. He is an expert in 12d Model and AutoCAD and is recognised for his ability to leverage industry-leading design technologies to deliver high-quality outcomes on complex infrastructure projects. Aashel is known for balancing client objectives, stakeholder expectations, and long-term network performance while delivering practical, compliant, and innovative transport solutions.
